Monday 22: QUIZ on ch 4, be sure to know the 4 main theorists, defs. for society, comparison of society and culture and be able to apply ideas to the film. 30 questions I added some terms to Quizlet as well. 




Week of May 8 into next week:
Reminder that your Glogster project is due Friday!!  Your late day is the next Tuesday. 


We are in CH 4 society: BE sure to read CH 4 by the quiz.

Assign week of April 3: We are finishing up ch 3
TWO due dates!!
Your norms project is due to me on TH  4/7. This means you have completed the activity and created an edited version to present. We will not present on TH, but you will plan  the presentation with your group. The rest of the class we will wrap up Ch 3 and review for quiz.

QUIZ on CH 3 is this Friday 4/8. 20 questions and 1 large essay.  Know your concepts and terms and be able to apply them to society.

Note that group presentations of norm activity will start Monday after break and continue into next class.

Reminder your norms violation activity is due by TH April 7
QUIZ On ch 3 culture is FRi April 8!

HW: read the Culture Shock Article,  Answer questions. Due Mon 3/6

Week of Feb 22-24
 Wed Feb 22- in class- discuss and decide what culture is. Start overview
TH Feb. 23- In class- Rituals reading and activity.   (Article and questions are linked on Unit 2 Culture page.)
FR- Read Ch 3, take notes. Be sure to include key concepts  people and terms. The chapter should be fully read and notated by Wed. Mar 1. 


Week of Feb 6:
Monday: Finish overview of CH 1, including Super Bowl activity which we will finish next class.  At this point you have  excellent text notes, a class sheet and activities. Your quiz( no notes used on quiz) will be  Friday Feb 10. Please study and ask if you have any questions. 


Week of Jan 30
 We are  overviewing Ch 1. 
Due Friday: Read ch 1 and take notes on key concepts.  You also have a handout for class overview. Be sure to fill that out as we go and take purposeful notes out of the chapter. 

Next week; We will apply some of the  concepts found in the chapter to Superbowl Ads. Be ready. Go Pats!! I will set a schedule  on Monday for our first assessments.
